Emotional Fitness

Emotional Fitness is the ability to deal with life's challenges in a positive way.    It means taking control over your choices and actions, having the inner strength to be who you want to be.  Becoming emotionally fit is important, because it enables you to live at peace with yourself and those around you.


Being emotionally fit makes life a lot easier.   We grow emotionally by strengthening how we deal with our feelings and tasks of daily living.   Some people are fortunate and learned it well growing up.   However, most of us realize as adults that we have habits and ways of coping that we learned that limit us.   Unfortunately too many people resign themselves to that and don't understand that all that was learned can be unlearned.    It is easy to rationalize that this is how life is and there is little one can do about it.   Yet deep down there is inevitably a little voice inside that whispers "there is more to me".  This voice is valuable because it tells you that you are not living up to your potential.  Unless one takes time to listen to the voice and then do something about it nothing will change.  The goal of emotional fitness is to feel content and happy with life and be able to handle the challenges that life brings.

Emotional Fitness focuses on personal empowerment and how to make strengthening choices, which enables people to live from vision, integrity, commitment, personal responsibility and love for self and others. This program provides a set of core competencies to help you grow in emotional fitness, enabling you to become a person who conquers life rather than being a victim of life; a person who is responsible for life rather than “surviving” life; a person who is proactive rather than reactive to their life.   It is much easier to evolve yourself if you see yourself as being already fine in the present. By accepting yourself in the present you can add to who you are rather than thinking that you will be OK if you make certain changes.  The difference is powerful. You will open yourself up to growing on the inside and taking action to make your life the way you want it to be and be joyfully emotionally fit.

Emotional Fitness consists of four sessions held 1-2 weeks apart. Main Topics covered are:

1.      INTRODUCTION TO EMOTIONAL FITNESS / ATTITUDE
2.      CONQUER YOUR KEY MOMENTS
3.      EMBRACING REALITY / EXERCISING RESPONSIBILITY
